Do not canonically answer who built the Tower; whether it was built; its purpose; whether it is divine/alive/aware; whether it truly rearranges; how the 3D compass works; the complete origin of Tower creatures; how impossible ecosystems sustain themselves; the mechanism of undead cairns; exact floor count/height; the summit; whether anyone reached it and returned; why human traces may exist beyond supposedly unreached levels; or the full set of Tower-stone properties.
Amended D-279, D-297–D-306 Nor:
- how long people have been climbing the Tower, or when the town was founded (the town's own records disagree);
- when the Accord was signed, and by whom (D-347);
- what the river's water is, ordinary or not (§8);
- what the Guild council (the Lodge) is for, beyond ruling the city (§35);
- what climbers make of the hermits (§38);
- how anyone learns to use a Cartographer's compass;
- what the Pressure is, and why fights call it (§28);
- what moves the air in the Tower (§28);
- what possesses the risen dead (§30);
- whether the Tower truly changes, or Cartographers spread that belief to protect their monopoly (§9);
- whether the Tower is holy, cursed or neither (§25).
Never invent explanatory builder statues, ancient records, holograms, murals, divine revelations or scientific exposition to close these mysteries.
